Mél Hogan is currently completing her research creation doctorate in Communication Studies at Concordia University in Montréal, Canada. Her research documents defunct, stalled, and crashed online video art repositories within a Canadian cultural context. Her work focuses mainly on SAW Video's Mediatheque project. As a Research Creation project, her PhD is based at WAYWARD.
She is the Art Director and Publisher of print-on-demand and online journal NOMOREPOTLUCKS and is the Creative Director of ARCHINODES, working with web developer Jeff Traynor.
She has recently been working on a series of archive + collection projects relating to story (re)telling through web 2.0 inspired approaches.
