100vingt
Using a 'surveillance aesthetic', this video tracks 4 months in the life of a building on the corner of Van Horne and Parc avenue in Montréal. It explores the links between documenting the everyday, urban landscapes, and the pleasures of the banal. When the building is destroyed by fire, this surveillance-come-archive video inadvertently works to revive it.
100vingt is a video created specifically for small screen mobile display.

MMG: It’s a gallery in a box, a portable mobile media device. Our gallery is a bluetooth server that we use to create “campaigns” or temporary exhibitions. The server, invented by engineers at the Marconi Wireless, University of Bologna, is used for what is known as proximity marketing campaigns. We are using their device and content-management system to serve up art and culture, instead.
